The Karambit Utility Knife by JW SteelCrafts is a handcrafted take on one of the world's most distinctive blade shapes. It measures 7.5 inches overall, with the signature inward-curved blade and a finger ring, and is fitted with a green pakka wood handle. The ring gives a secure, controlled hold, making this a capable utility tool and a standout collector's piece.
This knife suits martial arts practitioners, knife collectors, and outdoor users who want something genuinely different. Because each knife is hand-forged, small differences in finish give every piece its own character.
The karambit originated in Southeast Asia, where it began as an agricultural tool with a curved blade modeled on the talon of a bird of prey. Farmers used the hooked shape for cutting roots, gathering crops, and other fieldwork, while the finger ring kept the tool secure in the hand. Over time, the karambit was adopted into traditional martial arts such as Filipino Kali and Indonesian Silat, and later embraced by collectors who admire its unique geometry. This handmade version honors that heritage with a curved blade and a pakka wood handle, built as a distinctive utility and collector knife.
